This is a two session class. In the first session, students will learn how to make triangle kumiko grids using a table saw jig, Each student will make the grids at home to bring for the second session.

Prerequisite: Introductory kumiko class offered either at NWA or outside. Students must be comfortable using table saw and have access to one to make grids at home (Note: NWA shop table saw will not be available for preparing the grids. )

Session 1 – half day, may be extended to full day if needed. 8/15, 9am or 10/17, 9am (Fridays)

• Demo and trial to make triangle kumiko grid on the NWA table saws.
• Make a table saw jig to take home. 
• NWA will provide materials needed to make the jig, and ½” wide thin strips to practice on at the shop.

Select either August 15 or October 17, whichever is convenient for you.

Homework - Prepare several triangle grids and thin strips at home for session 2.

Session 2 – full day, 9am-4pm November 7 (Friday)

• Bring the triangle (or diamond) grid that you prepared. Make several small ones or one big panel that you will use to fill with different infill patterns.
• Bring several thin strips that match the width of the strip you used for the grids to be used for infills.
• We will make infills for at least four patterns. All of the patterns need angle jigs, and in many cases additional jigs. Details will be provided after Session 1
